Original 1958 Gerold Porzellan Catalog
We were able to purchase an original 1958 Gerold Porzellan catalog and have scanned it's pages to show on this website. There doesn't seem to be any real logic to how the figurines were arranged in the catalog. There is some grouping by theme, but I suspect much of the arrangement was dictated by the photographer. These catalogs must have been very expensive to produce so there would have been a premium on getting as many items on each page as possible.
This is a very long page because it shows a small picture of every product page in the catalog plus a brief description. You will need to scroll down until you see a figurine you want to examine more closely. At that point, click on the "Plate" link and you will go to a page with a larger picture. That larger picture can be clicked to open a really large photo where you can see all the details. Keep in mind these are scans from newsprint type paper so the quality is the best we can do from these originals.

Front Cover. This is the cover of the catalog. It was printed on heavy paper and the image is a picture which was pasted onto the paper. In the lower right corner is an embossed Gerold Porzellan seal. |
